Set-up of Guinness World Record Attempt

July 25th, 2012 | Posted by Sam Ireland in Bigjigs Rail | Bigjigs Toys | Home Page

Tomorrow is the day we go for our Guinness World Record Attempt for the Longest Wooden Toy Train Track!

We was fortunate enough to be able to use one of the slips at Chatham Historic Dockyard… but as you can see from below, it was a huge task turning something grey and dull into something pretty and magical! This is what met us at the start of the day (8am!!):

This is the empty Slip (oh…and yes George is wearing Liverpool shorts…despite the fact he supports Chelsea!)

and this is what we achieved by the end of the day (7pm!!):

Back breaking work (especially for Laura and Carol…!)

So after several weeks of organising andĀ preparationĀ – that stage is set!

Join us tomorrow to see if we beat the record!
